Awesome interactive tool that keeps students engaged
This is a great product for student engagement. Students love the competitive aspect and they are usually excited for the next question. The ability to set a timer and the ease of answering questions makes it easy for ELL and special needs students to be part of the group as well. The main downside of this product is the depth of content of the questions. Since speed is a factor and the product is designed to be fast moving, most questions are lower level. This doesn't mean that a teacher can't take the questions and lead a more in-depth discussion, but that would require elements outside of this tool. Overall, this is a great product for student engagement and worth using to get students excited about classroom content.

Easy and Engaging Formative Assessment
I really like this tool because it can be used for any subject matter. The only downside to it is that sometimes my students get do engaged in the competition side that the content side can get lost. With frequent reminders that speed isn't everything, this is a great review tool for students that will keep them engaged.

Engaging knowledge check
This has been a great tool to get kids excited about a topic or as a fun way to review. It manages to keep students attention the entire time and they do love the challenge of answering in a correct, timely manner for points. Kahoot does lack a lot of higher level questions and could easily focus on just the competitive aspect, however, this tool is a must for generating some excitement that can then be transitioned into a higher level learning experience.

Engaging tool to have in your teaching toolbox.
My students beg me to do Kahoots, and it's a great way to engage a range of kids. Students who are quiet in class are able to express their understanding, but students who may be slower processors get frustrated. It can too-easily be overused, and the halo effect can wear off. Used judiciously, it's great to have in your teaching toolbox.

Super Motivating Quiz maker
I would definitely recommend this tool for it's motivating abilities. My students were so excited they were jumping out of their seats and cheering to take a quiz. I don't know about you, but I have never seen students this excited to take a quiz. It is a robust assessment tool that is packaged like a game. How long it takes to set up really depends the planning of the content (questions and answers). If you have done this work in advance, the actual Kahoot! set up is very quick and easy. If the assessment questions and answers are really well constructed, this tool can really be an extremely effective method for pre, post and formative assessment.
I would love to have a feature that allows for an even more extensive connection to Google Apps for Education. For example, a feature that allows for the save assessment data the teacher receives to be sent to each individual student's Google Drive account so that they can see and review how they did, but with respect for their privacy. I would also love a feature that would allow my low readers and ELL to participate more independently. For example, a question and answer read aloud feature. I had to read all the questions and answers for students, which many often had difficulty hearing over the cheering. Also note, that you really need to be cognizant of the question time feature. I had originally set the timer to 30 secs and found that this was not enough time for 2nd grade, then adjusted it to 60 seconds which seemed to have worked better. Overall, I loved that my students were fully engaged and on task and definitely plan on using it again.

Who knew high school kids can get EXCITED about vocabulary and test review?!?
There are points in all instruction, regardless of grade level or content, in which we as educators need to review material and get a sense if students have mastered standards. This is perfect for this, and is so ridiculously engaging I can't think of a reason you should NOT use it! Your students will thank you!

Engaging and interactive; perfect for the middle level classroom!
This product allowed me to turn an intense and challenging reading activity into an engaging and exciting game. The students did the same amount of work that they would have done without Kahoot! However, they were far more engaged and determined to find the correct answers than they would have been by just answering the questions on paper. I love how easy this app is to use. I still had to provide the thought-provoking questions for the students ahead of time, but this product provided an exciting forum for students to demonstrate their learning and knowledge.
