I LOVE this app for homework
I like it because it is digital and not a worksheet of math facts. It also provided data in the spreadsheet to gather data. It is also compatible with Google Classroom (which my district loves). Only downside is for those students/parents who do not have a working device at home.

Pique students interest with Quizizz!
The feedback I receive in the reports from Quizizz is invaluable to me. I use the reports to drive my instruction because they help me quickly determine what topics need to be retaught and which students need to receive more instruction WITHOUT me doing the grading by hand.
Plus, Quizizz turns boring skill practice into engaging skill practice. Students like the competitive aspect of Quizizz, but because students can work at their own pace, students do not feel rushed or overwhelmed as they complete their work. My students are excited when they see that we are doing Quizizz in class, and they often enjoy themselves while working on traditionally unenjoyable topics (i.e. grammar).
The one thing I would like to see added to Quizizz is the ability to create types of questions other than multiple choice. It would be nice to have more options.

Fun for Kids, Useful for Teachers
Overall, I think Quizizz is engaging for students and provides useful data for teachers. I think it's best if used mindfully - too often and I fear students would not take it seriously (my similar thought on most game-based tools). My only complaint is that I have to turn off my projector or switch screens so students do not see the live results. I did not realize that the first time playing with students and it put pressure on some of my students who needed more think time. Now, I usually open it in a separate tab so I can minimize the live results and put a "do now" activity up for early finishers.

Quizizz - A Fantastically Fun Formative Assessment Tool!
I absolutely love Quizizz and the kids loved it, too! With the Quizizz game, students see their questions and answers on their devices. My students preferred this method in addition to the fact that as long as the game is running, they can play in entirety. Now it is a game designed for the standardized test format, but unfortunately that's the way of the world right now. Despite that, it keeps the students engaged every, single time. In addition the creators of Quizizz love listening to teacher feedback and then immediately putting those requests into play. Because of this, I know that Quizizz will continue to get better and better.

Quizizz is a great alternative to the competition of Kahoot-keeping the learning in mind!
My overall opinion about this tool is very positive. I think it's the best of both worlds. It combines the fun and excitement of Kahoot but keeps the learning at the forefront. My students still had fun, but I felt as if the learning wasn't taking a backseat to competition. The reports after the quizzes allowed me to make instructional decisions, group students, and see strengths/weaknesses of individuals.

Are these people using another Quizizz? Our experiences are the opposite.
The multiple times that the students and I attempted to use Quizizz, we were able to find or create quizzes within the application website. However, every single time that we tried to play it and have the kids enter their codes, the app showed the spinning circles and then said that we had a firewall blocking message. The problem is we were not using the school's firewall or wireless.
Does this only work on wireless? It can't work off of the student's or teacher's own data plan like Kahoot and others can?
My students literally got angry with me for trying to attempt to make it work multiple times.
I got angry with myself for wasting classtime trying to make it work.
In theory, it is a great product. In reality, it is inoperable. This is just the experience that we had during the 2015-2016 school year.

Quizizz is a great, free, incredible website and teaching tool that will have your students begging for more assessments…IF they’re made with Quizizz!
I ran a 4-day technology inservice for teachers. One day we played Kahoot and the next we played the same set of questions with Quizizz. 100% of the participants preferred Quizizz, generally because a) the answer choices were on their devices, and b) they loved the memes!
I have only two wishes about Quizizz:
1) I wish that there was a way to include questions that have no right answer choice (for fun surveys & polls)
2) I wish that there was a way for a session to be teacher-paced instead of just student-paced (for the teacher to ‘release’ one question at a time
The hard-working team at their website is really generous about responding to the wishes of their users (they added an option for create-your-own-memes based on customer feedback) so I have no doubt that this site will continue to improve even more!

Assessing students is fun and easy with Quizizz!
It uses a gaming interface so drill and kill practice of material is made interesting and engaging. I really liked how easy it is to create a quiz and how you can copy previously submitted quizzes and make your own changes. The students love the memes after they answer the question right or wrong. Some students enjoyed the competition and others did not. You have to know your class and your students, but those features can all be turned on or off. It's probably one of the best ways to review for a test or quiz. I'd prefer if there was a way to add more than four answer choices but it's not a deal-breaker. I prefer it over Kahoot and I believe the students do as well. Best of all, it's free and easy to get started!

Quizizz Queries Questions For Qids
The Audio Review: http://21clradio.com/quizizz-queries-questions-qids-tech-tools-daily-98/
Overview
Quizizz is another entry into the online quizzing tools category. It allows you to sign up quickly and easily, create quizzes, or pull existing quizzes into your “My Quizizz” folder. Starting a quiz is as easy as having your students go to the site and punch in the quiz code provided by you. So, what makes Quizizz interesting? To start, it takes its lead from Trivia Crack in that it is colorful, visually attractive, and gamified. When kids take the quiz teachers can opt to have them see the scores of their competitors, just like in online games.
I look for ease of use, knowing that many teachers do not have the time and/or desire to master a new way of doing quizzes when the old way seems to work well enough. toward that end Quizizz has a wealth of short tutorials and PPTs to walk a teacher through the site. The auto-save feature frequently saves what you are working on, so no more, “I forgot to click “Save” before I closed the page!” moments, too. When I had a question I received a reply email in under four hours, on a Sunday!
Concerns
That auto-save functions seems a bit tweaky. When I created a quiz in which I initially had answer options A, B, and D for question 2 the auto-save kept erasing my later inclusion of an option C. That was a little frustrating. Second, the option to random answer options between A-D is not possible to set until the moment you launch the quiz rather than being able to set that option, and others, the night before. This last item seems particularly unnecessary. I was impressed though, with the speed of the Quizizz support team’s answer to my query. I received a response on a Sunday, less than four hours after I initiated a question. Well done, Quizizz support team!
Commitment and Learning Curve
Medium. This one actually takes a few minutes to figure out. If you like the strengths of the site (noted above) then it is worth it.
