Fantastic program if you can see
Overall, I think MobyMax is a great program for most classes. Kids seem to enjoy it for independent work and it makes for a good quiet time activity in class and even for homework. Unfortunately, it's simply not compatible for students that are blind and require screen reader support. For days my kids have MobyMax assigned it's time to break out the alternative assignments.

MobyMax is an efficient, student-driven website to assist teachers in small groups, RTI, and test prep.
While I know that this product won;t meet everyone's needs, I found it very useful for what I needed. I am looking into using it in other areas of my teaching this coming year and I am hoping I will be just as thrilled as I am now. It was easy to use for both my students and myself. They were engaged all year long and were able to help new students learn the ropes.

Great tool for assessing students academic gaps in their learning and continued lessons inside/outside the classroom.
I think this a great teaching tool. I like that MobyMax has taken the guess work out of user creating their own assessment/learning tool by grade level. It is to ensure the appropriate lessons are applied to the appropriate grade level. However, I think the option of creating a specific lesson for the different subjects would be beneficial.
The students would have a fun way of completing lessons and MobyMax guide students into a lesson that would help them bridge the gap in their understanding. One feature I like is the option to have the question and answer choices read to the student. It can specifically help students who struggle with reading and reading comprehension.
I would like to see MobyMax enhance the ease of use with navigating the website as an administer. I would like to see more quick links to jump to different areas of the website. For example, if I am viewing a teacher’s class assessment in math and want to view a different teacher, I have to select the home button to view a different teacher. It would be more accessible to easily navigate to a different section of the website instead of always selecting the home button. This may change if we choose to pay for a subscription.
I would definitely like to see all the capabilities of MobyMax and recommend it for use in our school.

Good for practice and review with and without teacher directing it. Free, with upgrade for a reasonable price.
I like it and the students like it. The interface could be simpler, i.e., more user-friendly for the teacher. Sometimes it is hard to find what I am looking for, for example, I wish I could see all of a student's records in each area just by going to the roster. The kids like the presentation, scaffolding approach, and the game time.

MobyMax- Standard-based, independent practice
I'm still reviewing the materials for specific areas of ELA, but I really enjoy how Reading is broken down into separate focus areas (Reading Level Assessment, Reading Skills with Informational text, Reading Fiction & Non-fiction, Vocabulary, etc.
From what I have learned the added assignments are valuable resources as well.
My students seem to be scoring at a higher, reading grade level on MobyMax compared to other competitive reading programs.

Fun for Students, Effective for Teachers
This product can be used in so many ways for student learning. It begins with an initial assessment which individualizes starting points for each student. This is done in each content area if needed. The program then begins lessons according to each students needs, individually. You may assign remediation for individual students as well, with personalized time limits as well as other parameters. Moby Max has features that allow the teacher to track data on student progress, which is a feature that is beneficial for both students and teachers. I really like the LMS feature that lets teacher send messages to students, create assignments, and provide polls. My students really enjoyed this aspect of the program as it was their first introduction to online learning. There is also an email feature that is a great way to introduce students to online communication. This program could be used at the Augmentation level, but easily pushed to the Modification level with the interactive LMS component. Assignments can be created to encourage online communication and interactive work.

Great tool for remediation and reinforcement of basic skills in core classes.
My overall opinion of Moby Max is that it is a beneficial tool for both students and teachers. The abilities of the program to help the students review and improve upon core skills is a wonderful remedial tool especially for students with special needs. Not only can the teacher monitor progress, but the students can be held accountable and monitor themselves as well. I believe I have used the Moby Max tool at the Augmentation level of the SAMR model. If the application were to allow students the ability to communicate with each other or the teacher in real time this would allow it to move up a level on the SAMR model as well as being helpful to problem solve or guide the students when they are having trouble.
