My Take

Video editing on the web is a fantastic advantage for all learners, particularly those with limited access to expensive devices and software. Easy to learn although requiring lots of practice to master. The ability to create directly from Google Drive is a great advantage as it eases the process of initiating projects and finding them later to continue editing, especially for those who already use Google Drive in the classroom.

How I Use It

WeVideo is a web based video editing service that I have used with K-12 students to create digital videos, audio files and slideshows linked to Google Drive. Works excellent with Google Apps for Education accounts as it links seamlessly and stores everything automatically. Being web based means that it is cross platform and can be used on any device without installing software or licensing. Social editing features are a great advantage too.
