A fun alternative to PowerPoint presentations.
One thing I really liked about WeVideo was that it allowed each student to work at his/her comfort level - or just beyond it. Some students had no experience with video editing, and they were able to use WeVideo to essentially make a narrated PowerPoint. Other students were more comfortable with the technology, and they imported videos and music into their presentations, which took their projects to the next level.
How I Use It
My students used WeVideo to create a presentation over a Greek God or Goddess for our mythology unit. It was a great way to get students to move beyond just creating a PowerPoint and to really think about selecting visuals that will enhance a viewer's understanding of the content being presented. Students were quickly able to figure out how to manipulate their media and use the video-editor.
