Using digital compass to navigate through the internet world
Overall I believe that this game could be very useful because it relates to a lot of the issues that current students have on the Internet. And students often probably wonder what path to choose and this game can show them what lies ahead on each pack so that whenever they do encounter this issue they know what is the right choice. Add this Teaches students to take accountability for their actions. What I liked about the game is that it wasn’t just images but that the whole game was filled with animations and that the whole game had multiple characters with different back stories.

Shows Great Emotions
It is simple to use for all students in different learning categories. I can use it with my middle school mandated counseling group population. It shows emotions which is a great tool for discussion during the counseling sessions. I like that it takes place in what looks like a daily environment . it also allows students to relate to the stories presented. I also love the animation use in the site.

Wow! Stellar Program to Promote Healthy Cyber Choices & Digital Citizenship!
liked this program because it gives students the opportunity to thnk critcally and make wise choices (and mistakes) in a safe virtual environment where the stakes are low. Kids can practice making choices that they could find themselves in online and they also learn about potential positive and negative outcomes. Digital compass informs and prepares kids for potential dangers on the internet and it addresses serious issues in a fun and interactive way.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I love this program and the students love this program too. I understand that students need choice, but I wish that it had a back channel similar to digital passport where I can quickly assess students progress and success. I also like that I can control the sessions in digital passport and unlock the activities as students work towards completion. PLUS the students get really excited when I new activity is unlocked/

Digital Compass: Great Way to Supplement Digital Citizenship Curriculum
I really enjoyed the characters and the fact that the students could get involved in the decision making process. It allowed students to apply what they learned in class in real life situations and they really enjoyed using it. My critique would be to make the scenarios more detailed and "gameify" them by having students collect vocabulary words along the way, then quiz them at the end to reinforce the skills. Overall, it is a great addition to the curriculum, I would like to see it further developed because the students are very engaged.

What a fantastic way to apply the knowledge and skills gained during our digital citizenship units.
I love it! I like the fact that students can choose their own story to go through each time the login to play. Some teachers dictated which story the class would go through each day. I did not and students appreciated that. It served students well to give us more scenarios to discuss in class and also support the teaching and learning happening during our units.

Modern Choose Your Own Adventure for Digital Citizenship
Digital Compass is the perfect tool to engage students in the most important topics revolving around digital citizenship. The tool allows students to test positive and negative choices in a choose your own adventure style. Many times we only focus on what to do, and Digital Compass allows students to explore what happens when you do not take the correct path in the journey. As students start to share and report on what they learned many students continue the adventure at home and delve into the characters on their own.

An animated digital-citizenship choose-your-own-adventure
The stories and animations are engaging for elementary students, but the topics seem geared towards older students. (I don't know many 5th graders considering having a positive digital footprint to land an internship). Once in the game there is little instruction on how to proceed. If you scroll down on the initial landing page there is a link to " see educator overview and materials". These are essential if you are presenting it in class (as opposed to a parent at home). I like that students are open to choose among many paths, but they are assessed through the mini-game at the end. One major fix that could held special needs and low-literacy students would be if the intro page for each character and the choices could be clicked so it would be read to the student.

Learning by choice
This is an interactive way of learning which encourages students to explore various paths, understand the impacts of their decisions and learn more about digital citizenship. I appreciated the fact that students are not judged to take "wrong" decisions, they are encouraged to make mistakes and learn from them. This is a great tool for students to take ownership of their learning, debate on various pathways and feedback to the group and teacher about their learning.
