Great behavior motivator
I would recommend this tool for teachers as it not only helps in improving classroom behavior, but the students also enjoy it. It can also be used for assigning work and having students earn rewards as they complete those assignments. One of the free tools is a class volume meter and it's great for getting the class to monitor their volume . There are plenty of useful things available in the free version, though teachers may be tempted to upgrade once they've used the app for awhile.

Great interactive tool that grabs students attention
It is an awesome game that meets both the social and emotional need of students. I love how it makes learning an adventure individually while collaborating with others around them. I love how students can play this game any time they have free and can pick up where they last left off. I love how adaptable the game is and the teacher has a lot of say in what the game is teaching. It gives the teacher the chance to leave feedback, which can be a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it. The gaming aspect of the website is very addicting to children and this allows to feel as if they have freedom in the classroom learning by a way that they love.

Great Program for Personalized Learning!
Classcraft is great for letting students differentiate learning and make choices based on their personal interests. The fantasy elements of it make it feel more like a game, instead of an educational tool which allows for the students to get lost in the world and keep wanting to come back to learn more. In my time with Classcraft, I was only able to explore for so long. I would be curious how many Quests you can build and how you can intertwine your curriculum throughout the year so that it feels like a completed project.
I worry that the wording might be daunting for some students, but I feel that the images and personalization allows for students to jump in as they please. As long as you are allowing for students to interact with one another and the world, it would be a great tool. Otherwise, they are going to be hampered by the lack of interaction. I can't wait to try it again!

Great Gamification Shell for Managing Discipline
There are options to use it more as a teaching tool; however, I really didn't explore that as I was looking for discipline management. Each semester I would have a couple kids who didn't really care about the events but their teams usually helped move them along and kept them at least moderately involved.

Competition based?
This is a very interesting tool that if used properly and with not put too much emphasis on it, it can be very useful. I believe that you should not put too much emphasis on this because team mates actions effect the whole team and that can make big competitive problems. If used in a fun way this could really help manage your classroom.

Getting Crafty at School
I like this idea of using this is a classroom. I think it definitely depends on the group of kids that you decide to use it with. Some students get very competitive and get so hung up on earning points that the academics may be kept as a second thought. If students seem to be encouraged to do the work for the sake of the work and also earning points, this is a perfect tool.

App Review
It is a good tool. I like that students can work together to earn points using a virtual identity. Role playing has not always resonated with parents and educators, but seeing it work in a classroom setting, now, only broadens the horizon for this game's expectations and paves the way for future interacting games.

Great Tool Depending on Teacher Style and Use
Personally, I'm wary of Skinnerian approaches to behavior management. When Classcraft's tools are utilized in a way that promotes collaboration, autonomy, and fun, I think it makes a great addition to any classroom—particularly for teachers and students who enjoy roleplaying games.
Given the infinite possibilities of third-party integration, I’d like to see Classcraft provide better integration for other platforms, particularly as part of the Quest feature. You can link in a URL to anything, but it would be great for example to have students take a Kahoot! Quiz and receive XP or damage depending on their score. They could also take the quiz multiple times to reverse any damage or earn more XP.

Great community builder and method to improve behaviors!
I believe that students will want to perform well on this activity because they are more attentive to their behaviors and want to do better, so that their character can also perform well. This material can help students have a sense of accountability for their actions. As a teacher it is important to modify certain consequences that are built into the game, so that students needs can still be met.

Classcraft- A Classroom Community Builder!
I would not call this project a teaching tool, but rather as a classroom community builder. Although students are not learning class material, they can understand that their actions have direct consequences and will hopefully grow in motivation and responsibility over the course of the school year. As a teacher, I think some of the consequences built into the game are not appropriate for the classroom, especially ones like "lose 10 minutes on a test." In a classroom where students may have learning disabilities, this punishment could derail their success. Luckily, there is an option to write in your own consequences, which is something I would be interested in using within my own classroom. Overall, I believe that this is a fun tool that many older students would enjoy using in the classroom, but I encourage teachers to explore further to discover how it would function within their own classroom!
