My Take
I would recommend this tool for teachers as it not only helps in improving classroom behavior, but the students also enjoy it. It can also be used for assigning work and having students earn rewards as they complete those assignments. One of the free tools is a class volume meter and it's great for getting the class to monitor their volume . There are plenty of useful things available in the free version, though teachers may be tempted to upgrade once they've used the app for awhile.
How I Use It
I have found Classcraft to be a really useful app in my classroom for motivating behavior and teamwork. The students want to earn the rewards to upgrade their characters and the setup allows me to decide what behaviors I want to encourage. There are presets to get a teacher started and then you can easily modify for each of your classes. Assigning teams gives motivation for students to work and help support each other. Although I focus more on positive rewards, it does allow for creating consequences, which helps to reduce some of the unwanted behaviors. I have used this for several years and the students really like it.
