Great way to hook your students into a lesson, while keeping them engaged by using cute characters and story lines. I really like that BrainPOP Jr. has videos on all subjects and the videos range in topic.
I feel that BrainPOP Jr. is an excellent teaching tool. You can use it in every subject you teach. The kids enjoy the characters and the videos.

Lesson introductions that POP!
This BrainPop, Jr. extension is a great hook, but should not be used to replace teacher-led instruction or student inquiry. It is great to introduce a topic and spur conversations that let you know what students already know and/or what misconceptions they have about a new topic of study. I like that the videos use audio, video, and text to support different types of learners. Also, the videos are slightly interactive, offering questions to the viewer and multiple-choice quizzes at the end of the video. I wish that the app gave teachers feedback on students' answers to the quizzes. I also wish that there were more features on the app that are on the web-based version, like games and/or other activities that deepen understanding or require application of what students learned.

Great App to introduce new content!
BrainPOP Jr. is a great tool to use in the classroom. It teaches students in a fun and creative way. After watching the videos, my students refer back to what they learned from them during class discussions. This really shows me how beneficial BrainPOP Jr. is for my students. This app is engaging to all students, no matter their ability level. BrainPOP Jr. is a wonderful teaching tool to use to enhance classroom instruction.

Brain Pop Jr. as an Extension Tool
I love that the students can be engaged while watching a video. I really wish the quizzes would be able to be read aloud as some words were difficult for my students to read.

Great Way to Help Students Understand New Concepts
I love that this site has such a large variety of subjects. They have holidays, they have a variety of science, math, reading, and historic videos, and they teach them in kid friendly words and ways. They also have Moby the robot that is a great attention grabber. What kid does not love robots. I always find that kids tend to listen to him on subjects they may otherwise find boring.

Awesome Application. I would continue to utilize this app to introduce new and interesting topics in all subject areas for early learners.
I think this application is excellent. It not only has mini movies about all subject areas but its colorful and engaging for students. Its' a fun and engaging program that children can use alone, with in a small group, and/or with a facilitator asking open ended questions based on what they are teaching. In addition there are follow-up quizzes appropriate to their age that involve recall and other skills.

My students love the brainpop movie.
This works best with most of the features after the class has already been studying a topic. I feel like it works as just another tool in the overall learning experience, rather than doing written worksheet. Most all of the students can answer the questions. sometimes I reread them aloud for the lower level students.

Brain Pop Jr. is a fun way to access lesson content through engaging videos that can be accessed through the students' personal devices.
Brain Pop Jrs.' Movie of the Week is a great app for individual students to have access to video content that ties to the curriculum. It is especially helpful for classes with 1:1 devices, because students can view the videos on their own with headphones, then go back and review what they didn't get the first time around. For accessibility there is closed captioning at the bottom of the screen. There are also two quizzes at the end of each video, one is easier than the other. Even though there is just one movie of the week, students can go back and search for other movies, in science, health, reading and writing, social studies, math, arts and technology. This app is the most powerful if teachers go in ahead of time to see what videos are available, and then assign students to watch a specific video that goes along with what they are learning in class. Kids love to see the new video each week, but it is better if it ties to their current curriculum. The videos could also be used to front load, before starting a new unit.
