My Take
I think this application is excellent. It not only has mini movies about all subject areas but its colorful and engaging for students. Its' a fun and engaging program that children can use alone, with in a small group, and/or with a facilitator asking open ended questions based on what they are teaching. In addition there are follow-up quizzes appropriate to their age that involve recall and other skills.
How I Use It
I used this application as a way to introduce a new and interesting topic. In the beginning of this year, I plan to utilize this app as an attention grabber to elicit motivation to learn about others, themselves, family and community in areas of social studies. This will be my first step in the app flow under the Hook category.
