Great way to preteach math concepts, give extra practice, or assess children on math concepts! Kids love it! I love the reports - I use them to self-assess my teaching and the need to reteach concepts.
I love Prodigy, because my students love it! It is engaging, and the teacher reports give me tons of data that drives my teaching.

Prodigy! Great way to get your students engaged in MATH!
I loved that my low learners who had not shown growth in math were able to make leaps and bounds. Each question has the ability to be read out loud for students who cannot read or English is not their first language. I do wish that kids who are "Members" could not play as a member during school hours however that is a parent extra purchase to allow students to level up faster.
I plan to use Prodigy as a was to asses students BEFORE I teach them a skill as well as AFTER. Then I can use the reports to see the growth for each student.
It is a great way to do interventions as well as show parents how their kids do in math.
I have not tried the assessment tool because my students do not take a end of year assessment, but I would be interested to see the coorilation between the two!

Great interactive tool
Love how the students can battle each other at their own level in math. I also love that it is adaptive and geared towards each student's individual needs.

Prodigy brings on smiles and conversations with peers. Not only is it a differentiated math intervention, that fills learning gaps, I see it bring my students together socially.
I think this is a great tool. First of all, it can be used in such a diverse way to make learning fun for all. The reports it generates for teachers are amazing and very useful for progress monitoring.

Prodigy is a popular form of game-based learning for home and the classroom
It's a free tool that does have a pay-for-bonus package, which is nice, but not necessary to get all of the benefits out of it. The reports are given to teachers and parents for free, which is an important aspect of a game that I use in my classroom. Parents can sign up for memberships, and although it is promoted in game, I have played this along with my students and never felt like the advertising is over-the-top. Any product that is fun, free (or reasonably priced), and highly educational is considered a valuable resource to me.

Great Math Motivator!
I love using Prodigy! It helps motivate my students to keep learning, they're more apt to pay attention to the lesson after they struggled on Prodigy as well. After they pass the skill I assign, Prodigy asks them questions in a variety of math domains and will make the questions harder or easier according to their ability so my higher students are being challenged and my lower students aren't getting frustrated!

Engaging and interactive for needed interventions
I really love that I can personalize assignments to each student and then see how they did on individual questions. I love how interactive the game is and how excited my students become to 'battle' each other; when really they are practicing math. I wish that the hints could be set up by the teacher so that students do not rely too heavily on them. I also wish there were a method of being proactive against students guessing to find the answer (not that I have many that do this). This application is amazing and I look foward to setting up an assignment for over the summer!
