My Take

I loved that my low learners who had not shown growth in math were able to make leaps and bounds. Each question has the ability to be read out loud for students who cannot read or English is not their first language. I do wish that kids who are "Members" could not play as a member during school hours however that is a parent extra purchase to allow students to level up faster.
I plan to use Prodigy as a was to asses students BEFORE I teach them a skill as well as AFTER. Then I can use the reports to see the growth for each student.
It is a great way to do interventions as well as show parents how their kids do in math.

I have not tried the assessment tool because my students do not take a end of year assessment, but I would be interested to see the coorilation between the two!

How I Use It

Prodigy is a tool that you can use to assign students questions based on what you are teaching and their ability level! Often I would have my students play for morning work, it allowed students to trickle in and there was no time limit for them. I used it for students who finished work early, as well as a tool for students who were falling behind in math.
Teachers have the ability to set the questions for students as well as the grade and standard. I was able to get reports of what my students answered to determine where they needed more, or less help. This way I was able to differentiate for ALL my students.
