It is a great way to communicate with students and parents, it is easy to use and get response quickly than writing an email. Participants will be able to receive message on their phone and reply it as a text message. That is easy to use. Students usually use it to contact me by asking questions about missing homework or content questions as well. They also communicate with me about their absent on certain days and asked for homework or other worksheet make up.

Because you can send links with your text messages, this tool is more than just a way to remind a student or a parent about an upcoming deadline. You can send links to your files or to enhanced material for further discussion in the classroom. This product is very versatile!

Overall, I liked Remind to supplement my communication strategies already in place- it does not replace a phone call or personalized email to students or parents. It did help my families that did not have computers at home feel more connected to the classroom I think- at least they could receive texts from me and then could call if they had a question. I love the scheduling feature- I can schedule out announcements and forget about them! Don't forget to delete classes when the year is over to avoid confusion.

My overall opinion on remind is that it's a great tool that I use in my classroom. I like that it is an up-to-date reminder tool. It's a great communication tool that I use between my students and parents. Parent's can know when assignments are due and what is going on in the classroom the same time as the students. This serves my kids by reminding them to be prepared for class.

My students are proactive in asking me to send out reminders. I love that I can schedule reminders--I can create them during the school day, but set them to be sent when students are not in classes or on the weekends. I also like that I can choose to send reminders to multiple classes at once. Just as my students really like it, their parents are very appreciative that I've started doing this. A drawback is that my students don't seem to understand/share my belief that if I remind them about every single responsibility, I feel I will be enabling them. It is important to me that they are accountable for their obligations. On the other hand, I definitely see more completed work as a result of the reminders. I have chosen to disable all chat features, as I want to keep any communication with students public as opposed to private unless it is through my school email. I see many potential advantages of using the chat feature, but I am not comfortable with that. This program really could not be any easier to use!

I used this resource several years ago but its limited capability prevented it from sustaining itself in my classroom. It can be a helpful resource if students and parents are committed.

I love remind. It keeps me connected to the most important people in a school - the students, parents and guardians. I like how easy it makes sending out announcements and receiving questions from parents and students. - I also like that you can shut off the office hours (texting back and forth).

While this app is not a teaching tool to learn the content, it is very beneficial to remind students of the content they should be reviewing. I wish there was a way for the remind app to remind me to text the class though. I also wish there was a way to customize the text code for each class to something easier to remember.

I love this tool! I like how it's quick and easy for me, and it eliminates most of the "I didn't know" excuses from my students (and even my son!) I like how I can send messages to different groups of students if necessary. I don't like that they have to sign up for it. I make it a requirement and try to walk them through it on the first day, but I would love the option to add them manually by phone number so I can be sure they are added in a timely manner.
