Quizlet is rage-inducing.
it is rage-inducing, and it resets you every time you get ONE THING WRONG, making it harder to win. Overall, don’t even consider using Quizlet, because quizizz is better.

More than just your basic digital flashcard
I'm a big fan of quizlet because it's a basic study tool that helps with memorization, but it can do more than that. I use it as a tool to support and enhance communication and collaboration (when we use the live game feature), and it really does increase engagement. I like that I can monitor progress and know which areas to revisit. Most students prefer digital flashcards to traditional ones because they don't lose them or waste paper.

Team-building, keeping kids moving, and making review fun!
I really enjoy this tool. Students love to practice on their own, and are always asking me to create vocabulary sets so they can practice and review. They DEPEND on this tool. Some students take the initiative to make their own sets. And they absolutely LOVE to play this game in class to review before tests and quizzes.

Great Tool for Teaching Students Effective Study Habits
I think that Quizlet is a great tool to encourage effective study habits and teach students to be autonomous learners. Studies show that continuous retrieval practice (e.g. frequent quizzing) is one of the best ways to actually learn and retain information. By allowing students to constantly have flashcards in their pockets, Quizlet makes frequent quizzing actually feasible as a self-study tool. With teacher modeling, students can develop the habit of opening Quizlet (rather than Facebook or Instagram) as they are waiting for the bus or waiting for a friend to arrive.
In my opinion, one of the key benefits of Quizlet is the ability for learners to star items/flashcards that they find more difficult. They can they focus their study on these starred items. Another fantastic feature is the option to change quiz formats, so that students may begin by practicing with multiple choice quizzes and then work their way up to more difficult free-response questions. Finally, one other fantastic feature is the ability to search through pre-existing study units which other people have previously made. Students and teachers can use these pre-existing units as made, or they can personalize them to fit their specific study needs.

It's a nice alternative to Kahoot! and a fun, interactive assessment tool. Student's can work individually or as duos or teams. There's really no limit to topic or format.

My go-to site for vocab instruction
I like Quizlet for posting vocabulary lists, reviewing the terms with the class as a whole group, and allowing them to practice/review the terms using whatever tools the students choose (individually). I would then use Quizlet Live to let students play with their working knowledge of the terms. If students needed more review individually, they can access the Quizlet set anytime online, so it is ideal for homework and extra practice. Quizlet should not be the only tool in your vocab teaching arsenal, however; it's great for memorization and reinforcement of terms and definitions, but other means of vocabulary instruction should be paired to give students a full understanding.

Quizlet the review game the kids actually WANT to use
I use this tool as a review for my students and it works well. I like how it has so many options for my students, they can learn in their own pace, the images also make it fun for them and can engage the english language learners. I like it and use it so much that this year I will get the teacher version so I can get results from their tests.
