My students much prefer GeoGebra over CabriJr or other software
GeoGebra is a very user friendly program. The students enjoy using the technology instead of paper and pencil and it allows them to see the connections between Geometry and Algebra. The Java download on a computer works much better in my opinion than the app because of the difference between and mouse and touch screen.

Easy and accessible tool for creating interactive graph exploration opportunities.
I appreciate this as a teaching tool for relating the visual representation (graph) to the mathematical underpinnings (equation) in a hands-on setting.

Geogebra is great for linear regression.
I need to give my students a little more time to work with Geogebra before the project. The learning curve is not that steep, but with the limited time we spend on the project, it would be helpful to my students if they had a better overall understanding of the basics of Geogebra.

Great interactive graphing and mathematical drawing tool!
Geogebra is a great dynamic tool that enables students to interactively explore a wide variety of mathematical concepts. Teachers and students can create their own works, or use graphs that are available on the Geogebra site. It is a great option for helping students to "see" mathematics in action!

I think GeoGebra is the most useful software I use in the classroom.
I think GeoGebra has changed the way I teach and the way students learn for the better. It is a quick way to give students a visual of what we used to spend time drawing by hand. You can use GeoGebratube applets on iPads or tablets so students can be interacting with the material while you are teaching. It also gives students the opportunity to produce quality work that they can be proud of. I think students find GeoGebra very easy to use. They tools are self explanatory. The possibilities for using GeoGebra in the math classroom are endless.

Great alternative!
Overall I really like this site. It does take a lot of instruction to get the students up and running but if you set aside time to guide the students through it they will catch on in no time. I like that ability to create your own problems as well as utilize theirs and that there are over 40,000 different resources that teachers can access. It is also interactive which is a great alternative to the whole paper and pencil approach because it give the students the opportunity to activate their higher level thinking skills. I also like that it aligns with the common core standards and is very similar to geometers sketchpad but is free!! I would definitely recommend this to staff

Great free resource for quick demonstrations in algebra and geometry. GeoGebra Tube videos are also helpful for lesson activities.
The set up was easy for me on one computer, but it takes awhile to set up the app on all of the student computers. The website isn't very clear and it's easy to get lost.

Geogebra is free, and it is a great site for teaching transformations, linear functions, and geometry. It works by allowing students to see visually what happens in a transformation, tests theory on area, volume, etc.
For the children that had a hard time mentally seeing the rotation, this provides a complete visual representation of the transformation. There is a better program, but it is harder to access and you have to pay for certain licensures, but for free software, this works the best.
