The NAME says it all!
This teaching tool has allowed me to take a step back from being the active researching expert, as it allows students to take ownership of their learning.
One little struggle students might have is when researching and citing at the same time - you'll need to have them refresh the notebook tab as they research and cite in another tab in order to assign the research to a proper link.

Easy to use for citing websites and 59 others
I like using Easy Bib. I find it simple to use. Much simpler than searching for bibliographic information used to be. The students do have to double-check the information and I make that very clear to them. Nothing is perfect and by having the students double-check they learn what they are looking for.

Easy to Use Citation Creator
The days of teaching citations and bibliographies from a textbook seem to be over, at least at my school. I think Easy Bib is a nice way to convince students to create a bibliography and the process is less tedious than it would be to do the citation by hand with a book in front of you. I do wish that Easy Bib had all citation styles available for free... when I teach my 8th grade science students APA citations next month we will use a different, free program. Ultimately I think Easy Bib is a useful tool, as long as teachers take the time to discuss the importance of full citations and how to get the citations out of the program.

Visual guides and resources are excellent for teaching while citation generator is just flawed enough to force kids to work/think.
Even though my students might be frustrated when Easybib doesn't grab the author name or grabs the wrong words for the author name, I think this is amazing because students need to double-check the work. They need to be able to identify the author and check on the author's credentials. They need to be able to find a publisher so they can determine whether the publisher is a credible one. They need to find the date of publication so they can evaluate the currency of the source. I love how Easybib does the work with the punctuation. I don't want my students to worry about that. I want them to wrestle with issues of credibility and the content in the sources. I love Easybib's visual guides, but I wish they had screencast type videos to help students.

Super easy way to get correct MLA/APA Citations
It is difficult at first to get students to understand that when they post an URL or an ISBN number, they won't always get complete citations. Sometimes, EasyBib is not able to find all the information, so what is the student supposed to do if it's blank? Lots of times they'll leave it blank and not realize they are supposed to go find that information and fill it out. After that hurtle, however, this is a very easy tool for students to use. The templates are easy to follow, and it WILL require so teacher guidance at first to help students find the necessary information for creating these citations. With CCSS, citations are going to be essential, and copying a URL and pasting it at the back of your paper doesn't count, so our students need easy tools like this one to help complete their research projects.

All inclusive citation, note taking and outlining tool for 5th grade and up!
Of all the citation tools I have seen, EasyBib remains the most robust and user friendly. Account based and cloud access make it the ideal tool for my increasing mobile students. The new mobile interface (not an app) and the new "Create Title Page" feature have made it even better. It is very important to have teachers understand the product and the importance of attribution starting in elementary school.
