I like using Easy Bib. I find it simple to use. Much simpler than searching for bibliographic information used to be. The students do have to double-check the information and I make that very clear to them. Nothing is perfect and by having the students double-check they learn what they are looking for.
How I Use It
Anytime students come in for a research lesson, we point out the importance of citing your work. We use the free portion of Easy Bib. The students use the cite easily. It initially fills in whatever information it can find but we constantly tell the students to go back to the document to double-check the accuracy of Easy Bib. Just because Easy Bib can't find an author does not mean that there isn't an author. It does fill out the citation in the correct MLA formula and this helps the students to understand the format.
