Just awesome. A thorough and in depth resource for extension of thinking.
How I Use It
Used for opinion pieces to pair with other selections for rhetorical debates. Reviews of literary works sparks discussion of their views along side experts. Great resource for modern non-fiction to pair with fiction works.

Access to outstanding resources for IB Language and Literature
The only problem with this application is the cost; some departments might not have the spare money for subscriptions to the app for all students. However, Educators should check to see if there is money available for subscriptions from technology funding. I selected and provided some resources to students from the application, and then they used their limited free access to find and print their own articles. I especially recommend the "Reader Center" to any teachers dealing with journalistic ethics, bias, or the decisions and priorities behind news coverage. This is especially useful for Part 2 of the IB Lang Lit curriculum

I use this site for journalism. In the endless effort to have students triangulate sources, this is a good standard baseline of good journalism. I expect my students to be familiar with 3-4 news sources of integrity and their journalistic leanings.
I love this site as a teaching tool. It allows for students to pick topics interesting to them for individual or small group research. The only drawback is the pay wall as it requires students to be selective prior to accessing the article itself. If you can get your school to buy a license, it would help alleviate this potential drawback.
