Community Review for Stack the States
My Take
This game is fun and certainly engaging, but without a solid knowledge of state facts it is pretty random in terms of learning. It is ok for reinforcement and enhancement if you are teaching a unit on the United States.
How I Use It
We study states in grades 3 and 4. I let the kids use it when they are finished with their work or if I need to have the kids in a roation or stations for an activity. Basically it is a fun game for practice with knowledge of states.It has some learning value, but no creativity. Kids do enjoy playing together, but it it would be a stretch to call it collaborative.

A Fun Way to Review States!
Overall, Stack the States is an excellent tool for fun and review in the classroom! Although it does not extended learning, it helps students solidify their knowledge about the states. I think students would love to be able to play this game if they finished their work early or had moments of free time throughout the day. by having resources such as Stack the States, teachers can make sure every moment at school is utilized to the fullest!

Engineering and geography skills all in one
This is one of my favorite states/capitals apps. it allows my student a visual representation of where the states and capitals are in a fun and engaging way so seems current to them. This relevance is important to our students and gives credibility to what I am introducing them to in the classroom. That being said, do not expect any depth from this app. You will need to provide the deeper knowledge, but the app takes care front loading for you.
