My Take
This is one of my favorite states/capitals apps. it allows my student a visual representation of where the states and capitals are in a fun and engaging way so seems current to them. This relevance is important to our students and gives credibility to what I am introducing them to in the classroom. That being said, do not expect any depth from this app. You will need to provide the deeper knowledge, but the app takes care front loading for you.
How I Use It
This is a great app to use when teaching US geography. The students get to practice where the states are located, their visual layout, and their capitals in a repetitive format that keeps them engaged and helps them to memorize. I use it as an extension activity that they can play when work is completed or as homework if they have access to a device at home. It is great way to take the mundane out of teaching the states and capitals.
