My Take
This site is as useful for creating lesson plans as for use withing a lesson. It addresses controversial subjects in cohesive and comprehensive manner. Students are forced to think about things they don't normally think about. It is not the most engaging
site, and most of the content is static.
How I Use It
This web site is a great source of knowledge and a starting point for opening up dialog. I have used it primarily for that purpose. It is a companion site to their Magazine which has interesting and informative articles that deal with some of the most controversial subjects of our day. Many of the topics are pulled from the headlines and are relevant to students.

Teaching Tolerance is great for the future
I enjoy Teaching Tolerance because it is taking a prominent role in today's society. It has up to date topics and events that can weigh on people's minds. These topics can lead to in depth discussion by the students and digesting difficult topics leads to greater learning. The students can learn how to discuss delicate subjects while providing ideas to combat harmful and toxic behavior.

The information on teaching tolerance was concise but powerful. It provided opportunities to inspire students with differences to interact around the globe. Student awareness for online and in person communication is invaluable.
The overall product seems to be a great tool in the classroom. Teaching online etiquette is critical and would provide a sensitivity to other students and the overall learning environment. I feel it is important that students learn to develop community.

Teaching Tolerance is the best tool for Social and Emotional Learning.
I have been using materials from Teaching Tolerance since its inception, my only complaint is that its information is vastly underused by educators and needs to be used more as a resource particularly in teaching about civil rights, current events, mental and social health , etc.
