My Take

This tool is more of a student engagement and exploration resource. Not a lot of strong connections to content. It encourages students to play in a productive way. I don't use this as direct or guided instruction, rather as a resource for student enrichment.

How I Use It

I use Incredibox as a reward or extension activity with students in my technology class. Incredibox could be used when teaching students about digital music creation, timing, and remixing. This is a good introductory step to making music before introducing students to Garageband.

Some students are very into Incredibox and could spend hours making beats, while others could lose interested within 10 minutes. Plan accordingly.
