My Take
I like this software for the students. Since they play video games, they are progressing through the levels rather quickly so they can create and publish games. On the other hand, I am stuck on a level, so I can not create as much as the students. But they are requesting to create games. I am challenging their logical thinking to make more than a basic game.
How I Use It
We use the free version. I am using it with grades 5-7. They understand the concepts and are meeting the challenges of creating an interesting game. I found some students prefer this to the coding sites like Tynker or Code Avengers. I would like to diversify near the end of the year so that some students can use the coding sites and some will use this. It will depend on time constraints.
