My Take
Elementari is a visually captivating coding platform that makes learning programming exciting and accessible for kids. Co-founder, Nicole, led a session for our students, using her dynamic presentation style to keep them engaged and spark their curiosity about coding. She demonstrated the platform’s intuitive navigation and interactive drag-and-drop blocks, walking students through key concepts like sequences, loops, and variables within fun, narrative-driven missions. In one 30-minute lesson, students created a holiday card with falling snow and moving text. Elementari’s thoughtful pacing ensures strong retention and builds confidence in coding skills. With its blend of education and entertainment, Elementari is an outstanding choice for introducing kids to the world of programming!
How I Use It
Our students loved using Elementari and chose to explore the site more on their own in their personal time. The narrative-driven missions kept students excited and motivated throughout the lesson. One challenge was that some students needed more guidance on the logic behind certain coding elements, so we spent time helping them with troubleshooting. Overall, the students were really excited about the project and felt a sense of accomplishment when they completed the lesson!
