Great for classrooms, could use more
Overall I do think Jamboard is a very helpful tool. I only learned about it when schools went virtual, but it is such a helpful tool in person as well. I love how easy it is to use, with a simple layout and various ways to write or draw. Multiple questions and conversations can happen at once on different slides. One of my issues with Jamboard may only be because I am an art teacher, but I wish that there were more options when it came to marker size and color! It is very limited and I feel if more was added then I could use it more frequently in my classes as a way for students to do collaborative art and assignments.

Great interactive whiteboard!
Overall this is a very nice addition to Google Workspace It is integrated into Google Meets now which makes it easier to access. It is a whiteboard at heart and is not revolutionary but does bring that classroom experience to the students virtually with the added benefit of being able to work on the board simultaneously. I found the tool useful to stimulate further discussion. The easy integration of images makes the tool more fun and engaging for students.

Jamboard will allow for student communication and collaboration to be easily accessible outside of the classroom thus freeing up time for deeper classroom discussions or activities. Jamboard can be used to foster in depth thinking and discussion about a topic in preparation for a greater classroom discussion, it can be used as a group project to present new information to the class, it can be used in a gallery walk in which students have to present on smaller topi cs within a unit.etc. In considering the SAMR model, Jamboard would fall in to the augmentation category as essentially some of the collaboration done on jamboard could be done with paper and pen, however jamboard allows for inserting images and of course students can communicate and collaborate outside of the classroom
