Addictive, Seriously Fun, and Educational!
Students are drawn into this game, and ask to play repeatedly. I love that the gamification of geometry has increased student vocabulary and is teaching them without them really even knowing it. They're connecting bad guys, with hilarious mustaches, and hearing "strait line" or "open shape" over and over again. The adaptive ability of The Land of Venn is also incredible. The game actually adjusts to your student's speed and ability level. Highly reccomended for engagin, interacitve geometry lessons.

A fabulous way for students to play while learning and practicing geometry skills!
This app is presented as a game with levels, stars, potions to buy, and bosses to defeat. In fact, when I started playing I didn't immediately see the math involved. I think this would really pull kids in and get them started in a fun way. The app uses quirky characters and voices, which were sometimes hard to understand, but very fun to interact with. There was often the same text on the screen, so I didn't miss anything.
Once I had played for a short while I started to hear math vocabulary: point, straight line, open shape. As I was playing, I was actually practicing the concepts by drawing a straight line or open shape to destroy characters. The game repeatedly uses the vocabulary word as you create the shape. What a fabulous way for kids to practice geometry!

Sneakily Educational!
I love the way kids think I gave them a regular game on their iPads, when I didn't. They think The Land of Venn is the best thing since sliced bread, and will argue for more time to learn.

In a time where many math teachers are struggling to teach to the common core, The Land of Venn provides a refreshing take on teaching and learning geometry with their fantastic game!
This is a great tool to enhance the geometry classroom and sets a great standard for what a great game can look like. my favorite aspect of the game for students was the gentle learning curve. it really takes them step by step, allowing them to master the content as they go, building a strong foundation for the more challenging levels to come.
