Overall, I feel that it is a great idea, I'm trying again this year and putting more information on the platform to help cut down the paper work I have to carry around with me. I like that the students can access it from home and at school. I plan on looking into uploading videos and have the students practice at the beginning of the year to help eliminate the problems of last year. I also plan on recording my lectures and class activities to post on schoology in case any student is absent they will be able to view the class material.

Schoology is set up similar to Facebook. You can join groups and chat with others, make posts to the class, etc. I am a member of certain educator groups. By reading other’s questions, posts and posting my own; I learn new ways to utilize this LMS and the tools available. “Valuable” is the label I would give this application. I appreciate the fact that I do not have to carry papers back and forth from school for grading. The internet allows me access assignments, tests, ect and grade them from my computer without the hassle. “Convenient and teacher/student friendly” is a great way to describe Schoology. Not only can I grade assignments from the computer, I also can archive classes and copy assignments from one course to another as a time saving method. I created a class almost a year ago when I first discovered Schoology near the end of the year. The following year, I was able to edit the class and add to it. Each year since, my class resources, functions, assignments, etc continues to expand. I print my lessons, assignments, etc off to include as part of my lesson planning. It is a work in progress that simplifies and improves over time. My only noted complaint at this time is the fact that students can leave the browser during testing and surf the internet for answers. Other than this, I definitely recommend this!

I enjoy how Schoology helps me to be more efficient with my time, so that I can focus on my students and their learning needs. Online polls, quizzes and tests provide immediate feedback for the students, with the option to review answers or take the quiz multiple times, according to how the teacher sets it up. Students really enjoy the immediate feedback, and teachers enjoy how the grades automatically get added to their grade-books. I also really enjoy the custom rubrics I can create and attach to assignments. They are easy to use, and I can add comments to any of the criteria to give students more specific feedback.

This site was great. It made it so easy to assign different activities, discussions, and quizzes. It tracks the students grades as the complete assignments. This site also allows students to work at their own pace and access resources used for lessons in one place. Parents can also log in and monitor their child's progress. It allowed our students to continue learning even throughout all of the snow days that we had this year!

This product is amazing. It is easy to use and appealing to the students. Once signed on for a class, entering another class is a matter of 8 characters typed in. If an entire school uses it, the parents can see all of their child's classes with one sign in. If they have more than one child they can switch between their different children within the single sign in. Communication is wonderful between all parties.

I love Schoology. I began using it back in 2011, and it is still the platform I recommend to teachers and schools who are looking to try out a free learning management system or social learning platform. My biggest complaint is a lack of integration with Renweb. Because of that, we still do not use it as our primary grading system, as it would require entering in grades twice. However, the level accessibility (there are mobile apps), organization, features and support are awesome.

This is the best teaching tool I have ever used. It is one place for students and parents to access what is going on in class and makes tech integration seamless. Parents and students are thrilled to be able to easily find what they need and I honestly don't know how I ever lived without it!

I love all that Schoology can do. It's easy for teachers and students to use, and can do pretty much anything you want it to do for you. It makes life easier for the teacher- especially when using the rubrics. I can hear from ALL students during a discussion, and the conversations go deeper than ever. My district has the enterprise version, so grades in Schoology push to our SIS, which is fantastic. The use of grading groups makes differentiation very easy. It merges well with Google Drive, which I like as well. I just can't say enough great things about Schoology. It's a one-stop shop for teachers, students, and parents.

Wonderful program!!! I loved using it as a teacher. Being able to connect with your students through this LMS made my life so much easier as a teacher. I believe more teachers should use this LMS or others to enhance their classes, this is not to change the way they teach. The level of learning that takes place in an online learning environment provides the students the ability to expand exponentially, than just being an every day class.

I like the ease of use for myself and the students. It is set up similar to Facebook so it does not take a lot of time for students to become familiar with the program or find information. The free version does everything I need for my classroom. There are a few perks like syncing with gradebook in the paid version.
