I currently work as a high school math teacher at an international school in South America. Previously, I supported teachers as the school technology coordinator and tech integration specialist. Prior to supporting teachers in tech integration, I taught science and math for six years in the US. I currently hold teaching certifications in math, physics, Spanish and ESL. I got my introduction to ed tech as a Peace Corps Volunteer, training both teachers and students in the use of technology in the Dominican Republic. Prior to working in education in the Peace Corps, I worked for a software development company for two and a half years. I have a BS in mechanical engineering and a BA in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an EdM in Teaching and Curriculum from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
