Shadow Puppet Edu is a great research and presentation tool for middle school, too!
Overall, I love this app, mostly for the built-in search options (ie. Library of Congress, NASA, Wikimedia Commons, and others). I would like them to do the same for music that could play during the slideshows. Some of the teaching ideas provided were also helpful in getting started and the option to register for additional materials for free. The samples set a bar for students to measure their own work against. I would like there to be a few more options for teacher tools such as student submissions so that class projects could be stored together and shared. They do now have a new app, Seesaw, that is perhaps for that purpose, but I'd rather have it all in one app/program.

Camera Roll+Shadow Puppet Edu = Stop Motion App
Having a free app versatile enough to allow students to create, narrate and adapt with other projects is great. Other apps are similar but this one was exactly what we needed!

Great for young students to share what they learned through Project Approach or Service Learning.
I think this is open ended and easy for young students to use.

Great way for young students to create slide shows of field trips, daily activities, or digital stories.
I really like this app! I can use it as a teacher to create basic slide shows almost on the fly, use it with my younger students to help them express themselves through pictures and narration, and use it with my special education students to allow them to share their thoughts too. As an integrator, versatility is a plus in any application I select for our devices.

Easy to use video creator based on images and slides
I loved this because I used it as a presentation tool. It was easy to make and easier to store in the cloud, especially if your school/district is Google based.
My colleague used it with kids and it was a great tool! There's definitely a learning curve but overall, the kids adapted to it pretty easily. They are digital natives. :)

Easy, Narrated Slideshow App for All Ages
I think this is a fantastic app that could be used in any subject. I like that it includes searchable images from a variety of sources such as maps, famous landmarks, library of congress, met museum of art, British Library, NASA, NOAA, general web images, creative commons, wikimedia commons, open clipart, backgrounds, of course the camera roll. All inappropriate images are blocked out by cute bunny rabbits, so no worrying that students will stumble upon inappropriate content. The app also adds a photo credit to the end of the slideshow, which is a great way to teach students about copyright and giving creative credit.
This app can serve kids in a variety of ways from allowing them to explain concepts in their own words, to documenting their own or group learning, to digital storytelling. The app allows students to record slide by slide, or over several slides at a time. students can erase and rerecord when they make mistakes.
The options for saving are great, as it can be saved to the camera roll, uploaded to youtube, emailed, or saved to the shadowpuppet sites and shared with a link.
