Easy, Narrated Slideshow App for All Ages

My Take

I think this is a fantastic app that could be used in any subject. I like that it includes searchable images from a variety of sources such as maps, famous landmarks, library of congress, met museum of art, British Library, NASA, NOAA, general web images, creative commons, wikimedia commons, open clipart, backgrounds, of course the camera roll. All inappropriate images are blocked out by cute bunny rabbits, so no worrying that students will stumble upon inappropriate content. The app also adds a photo credit to the end of the slideshow, which is a great way to teach students about copyright and giving creative credit.

This app can serve kids in a variety of ways from allowing them to explain concepts in their own words, to documenting their own or group learning, to digital storytelling. The app allows students to record slide by slide, or over several slides at a time. students can erase and rerecord when they make mistakes.

The options for saving are great, as it can be saved to the camera roll, uploaded to youtube, emailed, or saved to the shadowpuppet sites and shared with a link.
