My Take
I loved this because I used it as a presentation tool. It was easy to make and easier to store in the cloud, especially if your school/district is Google based.
My colleague used it with kids and it was a great tool! There's definitely a learning curve but overall, the kids adapted to it pretty easily. They are digital natives. :)
How I Use It
There's a few ways to use this app. First, you can use it as a tool to teach. I used it by creating videos to launch design challenges or projects. Also you can use this as a presentation tool to showcase to families and communities members. Now, what is really powerful is that I used it, and then, my bilingual colleague, used the same slides and translated to spanish to create a Spanish-friendly video for our families. It worked beautifully.
Lastly, students can use it to create videos. It can be used as a summative or formative assessment. Super easy to use! K-1 can use it with an adult guiding them and 2-5 can use it independently!
