Quill is a wonderful complement to a quality education experience!
Quill is another great example of the benefits of technology in the classroom. Students enjoy it and find it far more engaging then the old rote worksheets and exercises. The timely feedback is critically important to them as well.

Interactive group lessons engaged students.
I really like the group lessons--they were quick and focused on one micro-specific grammar focus. I had just gotten a new SMART board and my students really enjoyed doing the group lesson using our new technology.

A Personalized Writing Tool that Scaffolds Student Writing Skills
I really like this app because it personalizes each student learning process. Students could evaluate their learning progress and discover the unfamiliar parts in writing. In fact, writing acquires different combinations of English skills, such as grammar, organization, spelling, and so on. Sometimes writers attempt to make the same mistakes without noticing. This app could bring writers' attention and help writers improve their writing skills. I definitely will use this app for my future class because it visualizes student learning for teachers. Also, teachers could adjust their teaching based on students' prior knowledge. Most importantly, learning should be assessed frequently, so in a traditional classroom, teachers might not easily track each student' writing progress. By implementing this app in the classroom, teachers could adjust lesson plans to meet student writing needs.

Great differentiation opportunities and activities that make students write more effectively!
This is a great teaching tool, though I'd love a webinar/video training on the whole class activities (I'm still confused as to how those work!). I love how independent the work is, though my students still ask for help when they need it in class, and several of them have redone assignments to improve their scores. Is there research about Quill and student writing that I could share with admin? If not, I'd love to see some of that as well.
I'd also like to see pop-ups or warnings when the teacher is about to assign a task to a student when it's a duplicate for them - I've assigned too much for some students or assigned multiples of assignments. A way to move students (with their completed assignments and scores) from class to class would be helpful in my specific situation; student schedules are pretty flexible in my current environment.

Just what we have been needing!
I love this program and have already shared it with my colleagues. I can't wait to start next year and use it from day one! The only thing I would wish quill had was audio support for the lower ELL learners when they are doing their independent practice. I wish it was a little more visually appealing for the K-5 students. Right now it's bare bones but it does the job!

I am over the moon!
I love this program. The whole class instruction is very engaging for students of all abilities. I have also had the opportunity to introduce this software into a co-teaching classroom environment where students range from very advanced to very delayed. When the whole class instruction is occurring, students actively read student examples and scan for errors (which is a very DIFFICULT concept to teach). Because they have direct instruction on the skill, opportunities to practice, and then they are judged by their peers, they are inherently motivated to perform at a higher level than if they just completed and turned in an assignment.

So far, so good!
My students have not been using this tool for very long so we're just in the discovery stages. I am very optimistic that this will help in the transition from grade level- to grade level.
