This is an amazing Math resource for students and teachers. It is very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. Students can navigate this app without a problem at all. This allows all students to visualize main concepts. In regards for ELLs it allows them to practice both Math and English at the same time.

IXL is useful within my classroom. I like the way students can move quickly through activities. They can reinforce what has been taught.

My overall opinion of this product is it is an effective teaching tool in the standards- based classroom. I would have to review this product a little bit more before I offered specific recommendations on how this site could serve kids or myself better.

I like how it explains what a student did wrong when they get a question incorrect. This allows students to solve their own problems without having to ask for assistance. I like that it strengthens a student's independence. It would be nice if it included more instructional resources instead of being strictly a drill based program. In my opinion, it is a great teaching tool for monitoring a students progress with specific math skills.

Overall I thought this was a great product. I liked how it gave the students praise for correct answers building their confidence in that area. It also helped them understand what they did wrong by showing them how to correctly compute the problem. This site would be great as a review or skill builder. It definitely needs to be done after a lesson has been taught because they students need that prior knowledge before beginning this site. This site also allows for teachers to see how their students are doing so they need to know if they need to go back and re-teach a lesson or speed something up because they are whizzing through it. Overall it's a great tool and I would use it in my classroom.

This site allows for individual and group learning. Students can use the site individually at their computers, and it can be used as a whole group activity on a smart board. Students can use math talks when the site is used in groups. I like these features and that it calculates and displays student skills proficiency. However, it does not store individual scores or proficiency levels within the site for individuals.

I do not consider IXL as necessarily a "teaching tool." After teaching math skills and concepts in a whole group setting or as a small group lesson, I feel IXL can best be used to practice these skills.

This is a good strong educational product to use in the classroom. I like that I can individualize the math skills that each student needs to be working on. It is a worthwhile product for me to cover math content.

I like the website and app but I would like to be able to set the level and activity for each child. As of now the students can choose their own and move whenever they like which I do not like. What I like about the app is that it gives them typing practice and it reads the questions to them if they need it.

The purposeful information that I was able to gain on each student and the easy access was extremely valuable. The app and website were user-friendly and allowed me to assign practice and reteach while avoiding the unmotivating worksheets that are often used. The screen is clean and neat and could possibly use a few more "pretties" for a visual appeal. The medals were enjoyed by the students and created enthusiasm throughout the class. Parents were pleased with the practice available online and the technology involved.
