Bio
My career has taken many twists and turns. I started as a K-3 Special Education Teacher. My classes over the years in this position ranged from self-contained 1-12-1 to inclusive classrooms. I worked with first/second grade gen ed teachers and several teaching assistants. Then I switched to gen ed grade 1 for a couple of years. One day a very respected administrator came to my classroom and ask me to be a Technology Integrator for the district. I spent 13 years traveling to 10 elementary schools and made my way to the high school when needed. My position was to introduce technology to teachers and prepare them to incorporate technology into their daily lessons. As life seems to return full circle. I'm in back in the classroom again. Last year I taught gen ed first grade with 25 students and this year I'm the gen ed teacher in a 2nd grade inclusion class with 29 students. Through all my twists and turns I feel I am the fortunate one. I've met wonderful teachers and learned from them. My students are the highlight of my career and always have been. I'm fortunate to have technology at my fingertips. I'm teaching teachers after school and building technology into my daily lessons. Technology can enhance learning for all students. My goal is promote the joy of learning.
