Amazing site offers FREE quality digital books to classrooms!
It's a must have for the elementary classroom. What teacher doesn't want to build their classroom library for free? I am pretty particular, and I have zero critiques.

Great selection of content! Keeps students interested in reading!
I love this app! It kept my students interested in reading. There is a huge selection of topics, including non-fiction. I like that some books qualified for Accelerated Reader. Many students asked to do Epic! at home.

Great Reading Resource with Many Genres
I loved this product. I would like if it was possible to add comprehension questions at the end for students to complete when they are done reading. I like that books can be loaded offline, there were book series the students are familiar with and that there are many options of genres to choose from. Students would be hard pressed to not find a book along their interests.

The best digital collection of elementary reading I've found.
My kids love to read. They read faster than we can get to the library for new books. Epic! is our go-to digital library. The selection of books is phenomenal. My boys don't usually love reading online because the pages change when they touch the screen, but they are willing to use Epic! because the selection is so varied and current.
$4.99/month for non-educators is still a deal if your kids love to read. Educators can set up a free account with up to 36 profiles for their students, too. One thing I do wish: I wish the students could access the school account at home or that the two were linked at least. The link might be coming in the future.
Books CAN be downloaded and read offline, too! (For now, only on the mobile version. Not the website version yet.)
The educator profile also allows the teacher to track students' progress. (Parents can view their children's stats, too.) Epic! will give data on the number of books read in a specific time period, time spent reading, pages turned, and badges earned.
It even provides some books in Spanish and as read alouds. I love this app.

Excellent classroom tool for readers of all levels
I think Epic is an excellent tool for readers of all ability levels. It takes some time to learn how to navigate the product properly, but once you have that figured out, all is well. I wish I had the money to pay for my students to use this at home as well. It is offered to educators for free, but for students to use it at home, parents pay a small monthly fee about the cost of a large latte.

Amazing Book App
Epic is a fantastic and FREE way to access thousands of books. I love the fact that my students can choose from so many fiction and non-fiction books without my classroom library expanding to take over the physical space of my classroom. I can offer the students more book opportunities through Epic than possible through paper. Students are engaged and enjoy rating books after they read. Epic will continue to improve as they add more popular authors and series, but for a free service I am highly impressed by what is already available! This is a top find of mine for 2015.

Wonderful way to keep kids reading!
I appreciate the way I can look at individual student data through the student profile page. I can see how many pages they have flipped, how long they have read, and what Epic level they have achieved. It will even break down the information by month so I can see on which day they read and which titles they were reading. If I want a hard copy, I can opt to print this information out and send it home so parents can see their reading habits.
I also like the selection of books that students are offered; it ranges from books for just entertainment to books that are informative on engaging topics. Students can choose what interests them, and they won't have any reason to complain that there is nothing to read!

EPIC Possibilities for Books
This app has allowed myself and my students access more books without leaving the classroom. It is an excellent resource to add to the classroom. Books are leveled by age range and you can select if you want to the text read to you. The books are categorized by fiction, nonfiction, and there is a section for award winners as well. Parents can create accounts, but the app is free for educators. There is a feature that can also track progress for students. The read to me option is great, as I have many students reading below grade level and they can still use the app with headphones and no one is disturbed. The students love the ability to choose their own books based on interests. This app is great for independent, small group, or whole class learning. Many popular children's titles are not on the site, however. Some students were looking for certain books that were not available.

This is an Epic! reading app
While I do love this app, I wish that there was a free version of it. (The cost is about $5 a month and requires a credit card.) I can have my complete class in my account but it does require that I enter each name separately. (I can give them each a password if I want too, which I like.) I really like the independence that this app is given to my students as they read. And, I love love love that my students can share a single iPad and the ease by which they can switch accounts, even for my very young readers.

Great E-Book App, especially for younger readers.
I think this is an excellent teaching tool. It gives students many different choices of books they like. It helps to serve my students by encouraging them to read and supporting students who don't read on their own. It doesn't have any quizzes or content creation, but it is perfect for what it is.
