Try it again in a year or so. I feel that they are working out some kinks right now but it will be a useful program once the company has figured out how to keep it up and running in a reliable fashion. It is not something I plan to continue using remotely because for peace of mind, I would need to have a backup plan in case of an outage, and I do not have these resources on hand while teaching from home. I will try it again when I am back in the classroom where I have other materials to use for lessons in the seemingly likely event that Nearpod crashes.

I wish that more teachers at my school used Nearpod in their classrooms. I polled the class after my initial lesson and their overall response was extremely positive. I like the ability to use both Google Slides or Power Point presentations. Engagement was the first hook in the lesson. I made lessons that include student interaction, thereby making them active participants in the lesson. Nearpod address every aspect of the TPACK model. It helps teachers utilize a technology to improve content knowledge using the best pedagogical skills. I also deeply appreciate the diverse cartoons used in the app. My only difficulty is the cost. The good stuff isn't available in the free version.

Instead of using PowerPoint as a whole group where students just observe, I used Nearpod which allowed for students to have hands-on direct instruction. I was able to get immediate feedback from various assessment options.

Over, this has changed my teaching style. No longer do I have to compete with cellphones and distractions all the time. I'm not saying those problems are 100% gone, but students are so much more engaged now. I can't recommend this highly enough!

I liked how I could integrate this app into any content area I wanted to. It would be nice if the audio files were easier to play in the self-paced mode. I gave each of my students headphones. However, the audio was glitchy. It worked sometimes.

This can be used for any class type or setting and any grade level. Set up for the teacher takes a bit longer than a traditional powerpoint but it is worth it as the class seems much more engaged. I look forward to seeing how it evolves with time.

This is a fantastic tool which I highly recommend. It is compatible with any subject, any device we've tried. I'm still trying to figure out how to effectively use Clever to log my students in, but that takes nothing away from the amazing opportunities for engagement that NearPod offers.

I love this tool. I continuously am looking for ways to get better at utilizing everything Nearpod has but for the time being Nearpod has done wonders for increasing student engagement in the classroom.
