My students are excited when they are given time to work on abcya!
Abcya is a great tool to enrich learning on a lesson previously taught. Students are able to work at their own pace and without teacher assistance. I feel this is a great product for any type of learner.

Great tool for practicing numerous skills from keyboarding to recognizing sight words to skip counting!
It is important to preview the activities before introducing them to students. Some activities are not great learning tools and are more just for fun. Some activities are cumbersome and less engaging as well, so be picky when you introduce them to students. Overall, I like abcya as a tool for reinforcing previously learned content.

This website easily supplements various skills for learning. The variety is attractive and I have found almost all students will find something they like on abcya.com.

Fun and EDUCATIONAL games and activities!
I love using ABCYA with my elementary school students! This website has a range of different games and activities that students can use. I would not use this everyday, but as an incentive or a reward for good behavior. My students beg to go on it! I really like that they have games for holidays. Most curriculums have cut out learning about holidays, so sometimes around a holiday I will discuss it and then tell students to play the holiday game (most holiday games are centered around the vocabulary).

Great site for primary students
Easy to navigate and use, a great site to have students working independently to practice skills or create products. Would make a great addition to classroom centers. Amount of time indicated above is for primary students. I strongly believe upper elementary students would fall under the less than 5 minutes category.

Fun, reinforcement games for elementary students
The website offers a great selection of games for students. There are holiday 'fun' games too that help connect the units. I love that the site is free! The website even offers books that are read to students and they can follow along with the words on the page. Students are always excited to go to the website.

Engaging FREE website for practicing language and math skills
Abcya is an engaging website for students in grades K-5. It has math, literacy, art, critical thinking, games, and holiday activities. This my "go to" website for all of my students when I have extra time at the end of a lesson. For my Kindergarten students, it serves the purpose of teaching them how to use a mouse and the basics of using a computer while playing fun games and creating interesting art. Student favorites are the Holiday Lights, Carve a Pumpkin, Create a Car, and Drop Sum. I have played many of the games and the critical thinking games are some of my favorite for students to try. Favorites are Sugar, Sugar, Letter Blocks, Thanksgiving Challenge, and Trick or Treat. I also like to use Abcya's tool Word Clouds. It is similar to Wordle, but a little easier for the kids to use.
The upsides are the variety of activities and tools available on this site for each grade level. It is extremely hard to find a website that includes this many options for free. Students do NOT need to log in or an email address to play any of the games. This makes set up super easy!
The downsides are the advertisements. The students accidentally click on them and then have a difficult time figuring out how to get out of it.

This is a go to website for students to reinforce skills taught in the classroom.
My students really enjoy having ABCya as a choice when they are able to chose in the computer lab. They like the games, and sometimes don't even realize they are learning! I don't like that the adds are too close to some of the games, so younger children may accidentally click on them, directing them to another page. One thing I really like about the site is that they are constantly updating them games and adding new ones for the kids to try!

A website that provides safe learning for kids.
ABCya. com is a site I use a lot in my classroom. It is perfect to address skills that students need to practice. There are a few games where the students can play against each other. They love to challenge their classmates, which provides motivation and excitement for learning. ABCya also provides independent practice for a new lesson that I introduce. I love that the games are easy to play and really focus in on one skill. My students, k-5, can navigate the site easily. I wish that the categories were hidden so that the kids didn't see everything on one screen. Some of my students who are easily distracted make their way to the games that are part of the "More" category, which contain the creativity games. I don't like the adds on the side. It isn't a huge problem, but sometimes the children tend to focus on them which starts up too much conversation.

Math Bingo can be good, but a bit too easy
The biggest advantage of ABCYa is how easy it is to get started. There are no instructions required, no sign in required, and the built in timer is helpful as well. There are many games available for the students to explore, but most get repetitive quickly. It would be nice to have some more difficult problems available, as even the "Hard" questions in the Grade 5 category were rarely a challenge for my students. I would definitely recommend ABCYa for certain uses, including independent review. It would be nice to have a way to block the annoying ads, but it doesn't affect the quality of the games.
