I love using this app to really see what my students are thinking!
I think this product is a great teaching tool. I use it for both formative and summative assessments, inquiry based projects, parent communication, etc. I like that it is web based and that my students can have their own account. I love how they are able to share their videos on a blog and let their classmates watch and review their project. An example of this would be during a recent Writer's Workshop project I taught my students how to storyboard. The storyboard was a way to put their thoughts into a picture that would then be turned into a sentence. I brought in a class set of iPads and we used educreations to create a screen cast of what my students wanted to say behind each picture on their storyboard. They then uploaded the video and embeded it into their personal blogs. The blog posting was shared between students and with parents. It opened up dialogue between students on what made sense and what didn't on their storyboard. Parents loved being able to see a proect from school by simply going on our school website. Being able to engage each student and allow them to share their thinking as they progress through projects is incredibly valuable to me as an educator.

Brilliant way to create fun, easy, educational and FREE flipped videos for your class!
Educreations has been a great find for my in my 5th grade classroom. It is super easy to navigate and even if you're not up on the latest technology, you will be able to figure it out! It has an easy toolbar at the top of the screen where you can write, type, insert pictures from the internet or your own gallery. Also, you can post your video to the public gallery or keep it private. What's also nice is hat you can search for videos made by other educators to utilize in your own rooms! My 5th graders LOVE watching videos for homework and that frees up time in class for us to practice and do more problem solving together. They keep asking me if we can do more than one a week! I've started slow, one video a week and hope to add more to my teaching in science, too. It's a great app and students can watch even if they don't have an iPad - you can post a link for them to watch on their computers at home! Try it out and look for some of my videos on there - I'll look for some of yours!

This is a great app that students can use to learn as well as present.
I love Educreations. It's a great tool to incorporate with the Wilson reading program. Students can practice writing words, and demonstrate how to mark up their words. I have also used Educreations working with my ICS students. Educreations is engaging, fun to use, and has many different possibilities (slideshows, mathematical practice, writing practice)

Great way for students to explain understanding an a creative way - especially struggling writers!
This is an amazing tool both for instruction and student activity. Only a few buttons and options take away most distractions for kids, icons are universal and large enough for even the youngest of students to understand, and the voice recording feature allows struggling writers to explain their thinking. The only thing that I would change about this app/website is that teachers need to be able to set up classes and have access to their students' work without signing in to their accounts, or without having to set up generic accounts that all students use.

Great free way to present information
This app is a great way to spread yourself around the classroom by recording mini-lessons that students can watch independently or in a small group while you work with others. Students can also use it to demonstrate their understanding of a concept by labeling, narrating, and manipulating content.

Great tool to help parents see how kids learn, and what questions to ask.
I love it! I use it with my K class. Parents don't usually get a "no" answer to "what did you do at school today?" they know how the lesson went and what questions to ask.
