Educreations is the perfect app for teachers and students K-12
Educrations is one app that I can share with all teachers K-12. They can use it for themselves to develop lessons or short reviews for students and then post online for 24/7 review. Students can also use the app to share their knowledge of curriculum on their own or in a small group. It's also excellent for formative assessment.
I do wish the set up was easier for teachers. I wish they could see ALL students in one "class" view . That is the only downside. However, it's free and easy to use which is why our teachers like using it.

We use Educreations in all subjects and all grade levels at my school.
My school loves the versatility of this app because students are able to show and articulate their learning in any subject. This app allows for great metacognitive awareness. It is also a wonderful way for teachers to create lessons that can be shared out on websites.

Great interactive app that engages a variety of learners!
I love this app because of the variety of ways in which it can be used. I can record mini-lessons on it, with visual demonstrations, for use at centers. This is great for my younger or lower-level learners. It's also a great app for presenting information in a creative and engaging way for my older, or more advanced, learners.

Interactive; Engaging. Fun to do and fun to grade.
I have students complete a variety of pieces using this and it has given them "legs" to explore and create what THEY want!

Another must-have for all of my lessons at all levels...and it's fun!
Another must-have, with some caveats. I love the simplicity of this app and it almost immediately "disappears" for the students - they get it, and they focus on the content. You do have to set up an account and log in as a student on each iPad. And, you can't export the creations to Dropbox (although you can upload pics from Dropbox). I just switched to Doodlecast Pro in order to be able to more easily post and share files. But for every day, in-class sharing, you're just fine with the app as is.

This app allows students to create a visual and auditory presentation of their learning.
The 5th grade students that I worked with used Educreations to make science presentations on vertebrates and invertebrates. They took pictures with the iPads as well as searched for pictures on the internet to use as examples. Students learned quickly how to add text and use the tools. They recorded their narration of text and saved their work for their teacher and classmates to view at a later time.

Ok - but not stellar
Have used this app to create vodcast a for my students and recently had my students create vodcasts. The issue- you cannot rerecord slides - I found that due to this issue, students did their best, but it was not great work.

A great way for students to show their learning.
This is a great way for students to show their learning of all sorts of topics. And for me to create content to share with students to use in the regular classroom or at home (ie "flipped" library classrooms)! Very helpful.

My students use this app to show what they've learned while reading a short text or a book they are currently reading. They draw a picture, a graphic organizer or just add photos and their voice to explain their learning.
I liked how I could use this as a portable whiteboard. When I've we've had technology issues with my smart board, I've used this as a whole group teaching tool and walked about the room while showing how to work math problems.

Great app for presentations!
Would like for it to have a smoother, more elegant design, but utility is great.
