Great interactive app that engages a variety of learners!
Community Review for Educreations
My Take
I love this app because of the variety of ways in which it can be used. I can record mini-lessons on it, with visual demonstrations, for use at centers. This is great for my younger or lower-level learners. It's also a great app for presenting information in a creative and engaging way for my older, or more advanced, learners.
How I Use It
One way I've used Educreations is in centers. After teaching something with all of my students, I will have a recorded mini-lesson to reinforce the lesson at a center (for example, if I am going over long vowel sounds with examples and a catch phrase, I will reinforce this on an Educreations presentation. I can show the word, circle the letter, and state the phrase). This can also give instructions for the activity.
I've also used it for students as a presentation tool. For example, my fourth and fifth graders did a research project, and used it to create a non-fiction article with photos, captions, headings, and informational text. They were then able to explain their process to me in a recording.
