Although this app has been rated for 6-12, I have used this with K-5 and found much success. I am looking forward to this company creating an app for Android devices. Right now, a WIN for schools with iPads!

Version 1.5.8 (the most recent at the time of this writing) is very stable and I feel confident recommending it to all. If you have an earlier version, you will really like the new features in version 1.5.8. In fact, my biggest criticism of earlier version was the lack of an eraser tool! Of course, the folks at Educareations listens to user feedback and they have added the eraser and many other features, including page scrolling. As for the future of Educreations – this statement from their website announces that they will be offering a paid version soon. They say the free version will stay. Let’s just hope they do not remove features from the free version in order to make the pro version more appealing!

This is a very valuable tool. I like how you have control over everything that will be displayed. It can help the students be introduced or review the lessons. As a potential tool for enrichment, you can have students create their own video explanations on any topic.

I like the ease of use. This is a required app for the ipad powered classroom. Students can create, annotate with their voice and save their Edureations as a video file for individual or group projects. I love what students can create using educreations. It is so easy for students to use. First grade students are able to have a working understanding of the within ten minutes. Students are able to make presentations at their own ability level. How complex their slideshow is, is really up to them. Students are able to add pictures, text, drawings and their voice to the creation. Fabulous! This program would be so much better if students could save their progress and edit their work. Since the slideshow cannot be saved, only one person can work on a presentation at a time, and the educreations app cannot be closed, or their work will be lost. Another big limitation of the app is that the educreations cannot be exported from the app. I really wish that I could export the creations into another video program.

Educreations is a wonderful tool that allows student to draw, write, add pictures and then narrate their work. It's works much better as an iPad app than on the website. The mouse function on the website can be difficult to work with if. If you make a mistake there is no editing, which can be frustrating to students. It also needs to be very quiet when recording. I love getting to hear my students explain what they did and why they did it when solving a problem. It is a great way to record problem solving or notes for when students are absent.

Educreations is a great interactive whiteboard tool for students and teachers alike. It is nice to be able to pause recording; however, it would also be nice to re-record if you have mistakes as opposed to a) living with flubs or b) starting the presentation over.

Educreation allows students to share what they know by creating a presentation that includes, voice audio, handwritten examples, images and text. Students love to make the teaching, reviewing presentations. For teachers, the wealth of already made featured lessons is great for ideas and inspirations. On the con side, work must be done in one sitting as it is not possible to edit work after saving.

Overall, I believe this tool is great for a variety of different tasks. I like that students can record their voices as they use it. It is also nice for students to add in pictures or video that they have found or taken.

Educreations can be used by teachers and students in a variety of ways. I like that it is easy to use and does not require a lot of set up time. I also like that it can be accessed online to view student creations and schools without iPads are able to use the web tool. Educreations allows students to be creative and to visually and verbally show what they know. I also like that it is simple enough for primary grades to use independently after little instruction and modeling.
