How I Use It
This was a great website of interactive science activities for my middle school science students. I used the activities on the website for instruction and enrichment. When we were in the computer lab, students who finished other activities first were allowed to use the website for enrichment activities. Many of the students chose to do the various types of surgeries such as the knee replacement surgery. Additionally, I assigned activities to students such as the weather or simple machine activities to add to a unit of study.
Overall, I found the website to be age appropriate for middle school science students such as my 8th grade students. The students enjoyed the simulations and activities. The simulations and activities brought a world of exploration with surgeries such as a knee and/or a hip replacement to my students. The website has added some activities over the years which keeps students interested. One downfall of the website is that it is flash based and does not work on the iPad.
