Learning how to type properly is an extremely important skill and Typing.com is a great resource for students to learn how to do so. They provide lessons, practice, assessments, and games to cater to all stages of learning, while keeping students engaged through providing interesting stories for them to type and educational games that they can play after learning lessons. Allowing students to set goals and expectations for themselves on the dashboard, which tracks and displays their progress, encourages students to stay consistent, as that is how they improve most efficiently at a skill like typing.
How I Use It
Typing.com is an educational resource that not only teaches students how to properly type, but also assesses their ability through both short- and long-styled tests, whether that be in time or page length. Additionally, Typing.com features numerous entertaining and useful games to help engage students while they are practicing their skills. Another great feature is the dashboard customization, in which students have the option to choose different themes for their background and characters, while also being able to view their daily goal progress, average typing speed and accuracy, as well as their overall typing time.
