My Take

This teaching tool gives a voice to the students who are not too comfortable speaking up, but have talents in creating and composing. I have seen it first hand where the quiet student comes alive when they share the song they have composed. I have seen kids have Ah-Ha moments while making music, and best of all, you don't even have to have a music background to use this intuitive tool.

How I Use It

I use Soundtrap to have the students create, collaborate, and compose music! In addition, kids can create podcasts ranging in topics, so it's easily used across the curriculum. I have also collaborated with classes in other countries to create music together. I also use this fantastic educational tool in Art - the kids pick a painting and then compose music to describe how they feel about the painting.
