My Take
As a teaching tool, this is a great application to bring many different resources quickly together. I like that the tiles are tiny and many can be used to cover a screen. I think manipulating and movement in the beginning when learning how to use is a little cumbersome and difficulty. But once one learns how to use the program, it is fast, helpful and teaches organizational and fluency skills. Children should be a little older to use this. However, if some students are quick to catch on, younger grades can be taught as well.
How I Use It
This is a great product to use for students to learn how to organize and categorize sites online. Students respond to visual tiles to organize and prioritize what they use and need readily available. I liked the fact that children are able to many different tiles up to have for easy recall. There are so many sites we use and need, but sometimes we forget about them. S'more allows tiles to be visual reminders and have easy access. What did not work was that children like to edit and sometimes spend too much time on making changes and organizing when they should be using their apps and doing their work.
