Seesaw is a master stroke into the digital age. Students are more engaged and by looping families into education, builds a strong platform for individualised progress eg differentiation.
How I Use It
The many faceted tools of Seesaw help me consolidate class learning. I use it as an after burner to assess and check how the students have absorbed content, in a fun and engaging way. Families are then able to see how their child is tracking with the curriculum. Setting up a digital portfolio for each student then supports me with parent /teacher interviews where subject folders of work can be viewed.

Simple, but Powerful!
Positives:
easy to use even by primary aged children, contains an abundance of tools for children to use, uses safeguards for security of content, the simple version is free, the more advanced version (Seesaw for Schools) keeps adding to the tools and academic content, recent additions to Seesaw for Schools include SEL content along with STEM and English as a Second Language content.
Negatives:
Seesaw for Schools has priced itself out of the range of many schools

Amazing Venue for Connections
It is a great resource that keeps gets better! The creators always take the educator feedback and improve the app. Posting student work is easy, family messaging is so handy, group and individual learning tasks are easy to create or you can pick from a library that is already created!
