My Take

I think SEESAW is an amazing tool as it really lends itself to the differentiation of needs for every student individually, in groups, or as a whole class. It assists students in organization and motivates students to be attentive to their reflective process since their work is posted and can be viewed by peers, teachers, and parents. Students are able to self-manage their accounts easily once they become comfortable with using the program. Student's seem to be excited about using SEESAW and sharing their work. Great program!

How I Use It

I use SEESAW in my classroom for student-driven portfolios, reflections, exit slips, and various tasks. My students have folders in each of their accounts that alight to each subject area and are specifically labelled with contents of the folder. Teachers are able to create exit slips, writing prompts, take-away questions, and forum responses that are differentiated to meet the needs of every learner. So far, using this method in my classroom has been a great success. My students are motivated by the use of technology. They love snapping photos of their work and providing video based reflections.
