My Take

Seesaw allows students to be creative, reflective learners. Students were able to see the value in their learning as they shared it with the adults in their lives. Kindergarteners also enjoyed reviewing their journals and talking with others about the work they had accomplished. I feel Seesaw is a useful tool to increase student ownership of their learning. I did not use the feature of giving student feed back, but plan to do so next year.

How I Use It

My Kindergarten students use Seesaw to document their learning. During station time, students have a "Have-to" task. They use Seesaw on their iPads to capture their work with photographs, audio comments and drawings, all accessed through their personal journal. After the teacher approves the entry, parents are notified that they can view it.
