My Take

I use the materials on ReadWriteThink for many different applications. I find worthwhile lesson plans to use here. There are also activities in which students can create products.

How I Use It

I have found a variety of lessons here that I use or adapt in my classroom. There are also activities for students here. Some of my favorite students activities are the cube creator and the trading cards. In the cube creator they populate each side of a cube with appropriate information, such as facts from someone's biography. We have made trading cards related to mythological characters. I currently have a plan to have my students generate a timeline as a review for Ancient Egypt. Many of these activities also have apps for students to use on tablets.
