My Take
This website provides simple forms and organizational supports for a broad range of activities. It also provides information for lesson planning and web interaction, such as how to teach compare and contrast essays from K-12. Additionally, the resources can be adjusted or integrated to match a lesson you already teach (like the interactive graphic organizers).
How I Use It
I use this site for a number of lessons. We use the acrostic poem application to create review activities. We also use the compare and contrast map when preparing for an essay. Each helps students to focus their attention and energy to fully answer the essay question.

What does this site not have?
I love this tool because it has so many resources and motivational activities students can use in the classroom. It can help teachers find resources for teaching just about anything .

ReadWriteThink provides everything from lesson plans to graphic organizers to printable resources. Teachers can opt to print exercises/activities or have students work interactively in some cases. Lesson plans and resources are available for all grade levels and are categorized even by enrichment, after school program, homework, and class assignments. The search engine also allows teachers to choose lessons by grade level, skills, and category, such as reading or writing.
